Tuesday, July 26th, 2022: Raúl Martínez of the Elizabethton Twins had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2022.
The 22-year-old first baseman put up a .385 average and a .479 on-base percentage, piling up 100 hits, 25 doubles, 5 triples, 2 home runs, 59 RBIs and 60 runs scored.

 | Jiménez Takes APPY Outstanding Pitcher Award
Monday, July 25th, 2022: The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2022 has been presented and the Appalachian League winner is Jame Jiménez of Elizabethton.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Jiménez. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Twins star told reporters.
Jiménez excelled with an impressive 16-1 record in 19 starts. In 127.2 innings he yielded 93 hits and 36 walks, while striking out 95 and compiling a fine 2.54 ERA.
