$37,920,000 Lands SP Rice for Rangers
Saturday, January 16th, 2021: Team insiders were tight-lipped prior to today's deal that brought 31-year-old starting pitcher Lloyd Rice to Texas.

Rice is considered one of the league's A-list players and certainly will enhance any chances the Rangers have to win a playoff spot this year.

His career record is 49 victories and 86 defeats. Rice also has struck out 1302 batters and compiled a 4.57 ERA.
Phillies Announce Deal for Veteran RF
Thursday, January 14th, 2021: Fans were generally receptive of a newly announced deal between Nicholas Crosta and Philadelphia, despite lingering doubts about the 38-year-old's character. Many observers think that as long as he keeps his mouth shut, he'll be all right.

In his 2102-game career Crosta is hitting .287 with 2190 hits, 451 doubles, 20 triples and 315 home runs. He has scored 1384 runs and driven in 1298.
Brewers Send Dawson to Seattle
Thursday, January 7th, 2021: In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Milwaukee Brewers have swapped 23-year-old minor league right fielder Sammy Cross, 21-year-old minor league starting pitcher Cisco Calderón, 23-year-old minor league catcher Pete Banks, 25-year-old second baseman Doyle Maddock, 24-year-old right fielder Dunmore Dawson, 22-year-old minor league center fielder Bill Jellison, 20-year-old minor league closer Daryl Banks, 20-year-old minor league reliever Adelio Rodríguez and 20-year-old minor league starting pitcher Juan Luis Pérez to the Seattle Mariners for 24-year-old third baseman Zac Rodriguez and 21-year-old minor league starting pitcher Caleb MacCorry. The Brewers GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it."

Career-to-date Dawson is hitting .274 with a total of 44 home runs.

In his 224-game career Rodriguez has tagged 172 hits with 30 doubles, 6 triples and 27 home runs. His lifetime batting average is .225 with 97 RBIs and 91 runs scored.
